We will be joined by the Marine stewardship Initiative who will be discussing their mission, vision and one the many projects they undertake each year: The Herring survey.
Also joining will be the folks from Immenso Diving who will be sharing with us all things spear fishing in the coastal waters of BC.
As always beverages from Persephone and Tality will be on offer as well as lots of door prizes to win! All of the evenings proceeds will go directly to the Marine Stewardship Initiative.
An initiative whose goal is to share capacity to protect the diverse economic, ecological, cultural, and social values associated with Átl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound’s ocean and freshwater. The Initiative has created a centralized interactive map that pulls together information about the Sound’s ocean to support informed decision-making, collaborative management, marine spatial planning, and community education.
